Martin Luther King Jr. on Faith

Martin Luther King Jr.My oldest son is a freshman in college.  So far, I think he’s changed his major 3 times. Yes that’s right.  In the past 5 months, he’s decided to be a police officer, flight attendant, international business man, neurosurgeon, and FBI agent.  I’ve told him to just focus on the core subjects for now :).  Being 18 and a college student doesn’t automatically mean you know what you want to do when you grow up, but that’s ok.  I know he’ll be successful whatever he chooses.  Today is the birthday of a great man who forever changed the landscape of hope in people of all races.  While my son may not make the impact MLK did, certainly he will make a mark on the world and leave it a better place.  In the meantime, I want to share this quote from MLK.  It applies directly to my son’s plan for his life.  Most all of us at some time have dealt with the out of sight staircase.  Here’s to taking that first step!
